radiant
One of KDT’s dancers and soon-to-be instructor Louis Laberge-Cote (sorry about the accents Louis). Louis has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance in the non-KDT work, Holly Smalls’ “Radiant”. Also nominated are Sasha Ivanochko (The future memory heartbreak junction) and Karen Kaeja (Long Live).

Congratulations, Louis! Study with Louis this summer. He is teaching contemporary dance at our summer program from August 10 – 23.

Black Grace

Black Grace

If you subscribed to our newsletter than you heard it there first….but it bears repeating.

The incredibly talented South Pacific choreographer Neil Ieremia, Artistic Director of Black Grace will be teaching at the summer intensive on August 14th, 3:15pm-5:00pm; August 15th, 3:30pm-5:00pm; and August
17th 3:15pm-5:00pm.

Very exciting chance for dancers to study with a world-renowned choreographer whose work has premiered at festivals like Jacob’s Pillow.

Neil is being presented in partnership with Harbourfront’s Planet IndigenUS festival, an international, multi-disciplinary contemporary art festival celebrating innovation, adaptability and evolution of indigenous identity.

Check out these excerpts from a Black Grace performance on Youtube, below. I’ve watched this at least 4 times and it’s still breathtakingly good dance.
